Just 2% more in adult population vaccination rate to open doors to interstate travel

The interstate travel prohibition is likely to be abolished as soon as the country's adult vaccination rate against COVID-19 hits 90 percent.

According to the Ministry of Health's COVIDNOW portal, 20,698,852 people, or 88.4 percent of adults completed their vaccinations on Tuesday, 5 Oct 2021.

“With greater mobility, there will be more gatherings. We have to take responsibility for our actions. If you develop symptoms, get a test kit and test. If positive, isolate quickly, ”Khairy said.

Recently, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said that cross-state travel will be permitted only when the adult population's vaccination rate reaches 90 percent, based on data and analysis from the Ministry of Health (MoH).
